Apple Butter and Biscuits
September 11th
Our administrator will be stirring some apple butter outside in our big kettle! Once ready, we will serve biscuits with the apple butter to residents. We will have a hay ride and serve apple cider to the riders!
Apple Craft
September 13th
Apple Crafts with the Pink Pig and the Cookie Cottage will be a chance to use crafty skills at our Applefest craft table. We will also have some Applefest Bingo, residents love their bingo!
Applefest Word Search
September 14th
Applefest will continue with an apple word search contest. Whoever turns in the word search first gets a prize! For the grand finale, we will have Granny’s homemade fried apple pies made fresh on the spot. You can watch the pie-making process while eating that pie with vanilla bean ice cream!
Photos and a Dollywood Production w/ AppleJack
September 15th
We will be making portraits of the residents with a beautiful background display to give to the residents as a keepsake. Then we will be showing the Heart Song Production to our residents in the Regency Theater (with our own special effects). Come and enjoy some family fun!
Applefest at Carvers Apple Orchard
September 16th
To end Applefest we will be taking residents to Carvers Apple Orchard to eat at their restaurant. Then they will visit the Apple Barn to buy apples and other items. They also have a Candy Shop to visit!
Peanut Day
September 19th at 2:30 pm
We will be learning some fun facts about growing and harvesting peanuts in the shell and roasting them for
customers to purchase. This event includes sampling some fresh hot peanuts!
Bluegrass and BBQ Fall Fest
September 24th from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm
We will be having our yearly fall festival under the big pavilion. The Smokey Mtn. Express Bluegrass group will perform for us again this year as well as cloggers from Morristown to dance the day away. A variety of vendors will sell crafts of all kinds and tempting treats. Our residents will be selling pumpkins that we’ve made in our craft classes. Last year we sold out!
